We believe that prayer is the cornerstone of this ministry for the bible tells us to ‘pray without ceasing’. The character of Jesus was passionate in his emphasis when communicating to God, for it was one of great humility, respect and significant love and dedication to God.
Our Lord Jesus Christ tells us how to pray in the book of Luke 11 verse 1 – 13 (KJV), when his disciples asked him,“Lord, teach us how to pray, as John taught his disciples. He said unto them, when ye pray, say Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name, Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven so in the earth. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive everyone that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil”. Amen.Through prayer relationships are built with our God and Saviour. Bond or free, rich or poor we believe that only through prayer can we as an organization affect change in everyday people’s lives.
This Month's Prayer: A Prayer of Love
A prayer of love (1 Corinthians 13)
Dear Lord Jesus, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, we thank you for every blessing you have done for us. It is written, in verse 3: “And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing”, Lord you are love and we thank you - although the world is in pain and the cries of many go deep - we know you are there. We must endure with love and patience, holding on to both mercy and truth, for such is the character of our Lord Jesus Christ.
To conclude Lord, it says in your word God is Love and we must worship him in spirit and in truth; please continue to give us the strength to do and please your will, as it is written in verse 13: “and now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity”. Thanking you Lord for everything in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.
